Seven of the top 50 Growth of the Game Teaching Professionals are from the Middle Atlantic PGA Section. Chris George, PGA; Bernie Najar, PGA; Janet Phillips, PGA; Joe Plecker, PGA; Trillium Sellers Rose, PGA; Adam Smith, PGA; and Chuck Will, PGA were all recently recognized as 2014 GRAA Top 50 Growth of the Game Teaching Professionals. 

Also, Mike Dickson, PGA; Linda Gaudi, PGA; Meredith Loosse, PGA; (pictured) and Adam Harrell, PGA
 were named to the US Kids Top 50 Teachers list. The Top 50 Kids Teachers Award recognizes the world's most outstanding youth golf instructors. Recipients are chosen based on their contributions to youth golf, such as time devoted to teaching youth, innovation, creativity and fun in their programs and overall effort to grow the game.

PGA Player Development Regional Managers Continue to Grow Golf at the Grassroots

Through PDRM efforts, Get Golf Ready experienced a 23 percent increase in combined student participation in facilities the PDRMs engaged with, growing from 19,035 in 2013 to 23,372 in 2014 in these focus markets. Within facilities and PGA Professionals PDRMs communicated and engaged with, there was a 243 percent increase in the cumulative number of PGA Junior League Golf teams within these markets, growing from 139 teams in 2013 to 477 teams in 2014. PGA Junior League Golf has seen explosive growth since the program launched in 2011. Yearly participation numbers doubled in 2014, growing from nearly 9,000 boys and girls participating on 740 teams in 2013 to 17,500 participants on 1,425 teams. View More
