Chris Brugge (Vienna, VA) won the 2011 Nordlinger Cup shooting a 3 over 73. Chris won on the second playoff hole over Lee Detmer (Bethesda, MD) and John Hulede (Mitchellville, MD). Chris has a very steady round on the day only having four bogeys to one birdie. Chris birdied the toughtest par 3 on the course with a 15 footer on the 11th.
Rachel Lee (Woodstock, MD) won the third playoff hole beating Chloe Tawaststjerna (Middleburg, VA). Both players shot a 78 for their first 18 and Rachel used her steady play to secure the win with three pars.
A special thanks to Bryan Armstrong, PGA and his staff for hosting the event for the 36th year. The course was in excellent condition even with all the heat over the long summer.

The 2011 Nordlinger Cup event is Monday, August 15, 2011 at Mt. Vernon Country Club in Alexandria, Virginia. This event is an invitational. Invitations will be sent in mid-July to juniors meeting the following eligibility:
