The MAPGA Senior Association was formed in the late 1980’s to provide competitive playing opportunities for the Senior members of the Section aged 50 years and older. Over the years, it has been organized and operated by such stalwart PGA Members as Dick Canney (the innovator of the Association), Leo Steinbrecher, Bob Benning, Walter Potter, Bob Schuh, Dave Walker and Bobby Kennedy. Throughout the years, many other PGA Members have assisted in this endeavor and the history can only be told if those who assisted can come forward and tell their stories.
The Association has provided camaraderie and competitive opportunities to hundreds of seniors over those years and it needs your support, both on and off the course, to remain active. Please make every effort to support this endeavor for those who still wish to enjoy the company of their fellow professionals. Membership in YOUR Association is important!
